The Subliminal History of New York State: Route of Progress a singing and video 2 month tour undertaken by the Society for a Subliminal State Co founders; Carrie Dashow and Jesse Pearlman Karlsberg. Summer of 2007 to 6 towns along the Erie Canal and beyond.

Collaborating with local historians and townspeople to understand the Route of Progress of New York State, in each town they held Shape Note singing and video workshops and created a participatory performances as a conclusion to each week long stay.

At the conclusion of the tour, Carrie and Jesse created a tunebook of 53 songs, an online song map and had an exhibition at Eyebeam with a 5 hour 2 channel video of the 13th screen.
